This year Canon released two professional-grade RF mount micro-singles, EOS R5 and R6. Canon has stated that the RF mount has a large aperture with an inner diameter of 54 mm and a short back focus distance, which greatly improves the flexibility of optical design, allowing it to develop an ideal lens.
According to the latest news, an APS-C frame mirrorless single with RF mount is being tested, and its name may be EOS R7.
A group of photographers is testing the APS-C format mirrorless singles with RF mounts. It is reported that this camera “looks almost the same as the EOS R6.” Foreign media believe that “EOS R7” should be released sometime in 2021.
Canon’s APS-C format EOS M6 Mark II uses an EF-M mount, and the body price is 5,999 yuan. EOS R6 is equipped with a full-frame CMOS with 20.1 million pixels, and the price is 15,999 yuan (Approx. 918 USD). EOS R7 is expected to use a new generation of full-pixel dual-core CMOS AF II focusing technology, and the price will be much lower than the full-frame model.
