Posted on

As the future development direction of 5G, major operators have been actively investing in recent years to gain a leading edge in the 5G field. On December 15, China Unicom officially announced that China Unicom and ZTE Corporation have completed the first domestic terminal power-saving full-function verification in Linyi, Shandong.

By applying multiple innovative power-saving functions on 5G commercial networks, the two parties have achieved a reduction in power consumption of at least 7% within 2 hours and a significant increase of nearly 20% in standby time for multiple 5G terminals using the same service.

Judging from the verification results, in the future, 5G terminals are expected to use the same services with the same battery capacity and will have better battery life. This also lays the foundation for the creation of thin and delicate 5G terminals.

This verification has accumulated experience for the full commercial use of the power-saving function of the 5G terminal network. With the large-scale deployment of 5G and the increase in the number of users, China Unicom will work with ZTE to continue to contribute wisdom to the comprehensive construction of a green and efficient communication network.

The latest news shows that my country has built the world’s largest 5G network, with a total of 718,000 5G base stations built, and 330,000 5G base stations will be jointly built and shared. In the future, with innovative power-saving features, everyone will get even better when using 5G terminals. Experience.
