Germany has not completely abandoned Huawei, but it presumably difficult to participate in the construction of next-generation mobile networks

As per the news of the British “Financial Times” website on December 16, the German Cabinet reached an agreement on a new IT law.

In contrast to the United States and other countries, Germany has not completely excluded this Chinese company from the German telecommunications market.

According to reports, the law was called “a breakthrough in the field of German cybersecurity” by the German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer. It gives for much stricter verification of potential telecommunications providers than currently.

The report noticed out that the Trump administration has long pressured American allies to take a hard line against Huawei.

The report also noticed that, but the facts proved that German Chancellor Merkel resisted the pressure of the United States, and she expressed her willingness to make safety requirements for all suppliers.

German officials worry that if Germany bans Huawei products, it may cause trouble for German companies that rely on the Chinese market.

However, lawmakers who have been closely involved in the discussion of the law said that the law may make it almost impossible for Huawei to participate in the construction of next-generation mobile networks.
