Huawei Harmony OS opens mobile phone beta, but it’s not limited to mobile phones

Hongmeng’s open mobile phone beta test means that Huawei has indeed solved the pain of smartphone operating systems, but the long road to ecological construction has just begun.

On December 16, Huawei launched the Harmony OS (Harmony OS, hereinafter referred to as Harmony) 2.0 Beta (public beta) for mobile application developers. Most mobile phone application developers can download the development kit from the official website to develop applications for Harmony.

Due to US government sanctions, Huawei phones cannot use the GoogleThe Android system prompted Huawei to embark on the road of a self-developed operating system.

The launch of the Harmony 2.0 beta today is a necessary node that means Hongmeng finally supports mobile phones. However, ordinary consumers who want to experience Hongmeng will have to wait until next year’s Huawei mobile phones carrying Hongmeng are available.

Currently, the design concept similar to Hongmeng is mainly Google’s Fuchsia (purple). The latter’s development progress is compared with Hongmeng, and it has recently been open-sourced to the public.

If we rely solely on the size of Huawei’s mobile phones in the future, I am afraid that it will not be particularly attractive to developers. To what extent Harmony’s”1+8+N” strategy can broaden the number of hardware supporting Hongmeng remains to be seen Observed.
