Hyundai Motors may close the selling of Kona electric cars in South Korea

Posted on

Hyundai Motor Company is considering stopping sales of its best-selling electric car model Kona in South Korea, after a series of fires and an electronic brake system defeat triggered a large-scale recall of the model.

As the report of the local media, Hyundai Motor is considering stopping sales of this car in South Korea but will continue to sell in the European market.

Kona is one of the best-selling electric car models in Europe, and sales of this model outside Korea account for more than three-quarters of its global sales.
