AMD launches ProRender 2.0: Supports game graphics cards, add hardware support, and more
AMD announced a set of photos of Mercedes F1 racing cars rendered by the latest Radeon ProRender 2.0 renderer, showing the effects of the latest renderer. AMD worked closely with design company Pixelary to create 3D rendered photos for Mercedes-AMG F1 W11 EQ.
The Radeon ProRender 2.0 renderer supports a wide range of 3D production software and can use the latest AMD RX 6000 graphics card to enable hardware ray tracing, as well as AI artificial intelligence noise reduction, Vulkan API, and other functions.
Supported software includes CINEMA 4D, ACCA, Solid Works, etc. Software supported through plug-ins include Autodesk 3ds Max, Unreal Engine, Autodesk Maya, etc.
ProRender could only be used on Radeon Pro series professional graphics cards, but it can support many game GPUs in the future. 3D software rendering work requires large-capacity video memory. The 16GB GDDR6 video memory on AMD RX 6000 series graphics cards can meet professional requirements.
The design company Pixelary uses the latest ProRender 2.0 renderer and uses the RX 6900 XT graphics card to render F1 racing cars. The rendering completion speed is also 2.1 times faster than the previous Radeon VII graphics card.
