Microsoft Xbox: ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ in the PlayStation Digital Store can apply for a full refund

Adam Kicinski, CEO of Polish video game publisher CD Projekt RED, just now stated that he has not talked over with Microsoft about the delisting of ‘Cyberpunk 2077’. Sony previously announced that it would remove ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ from its digital store.

Sony said that all players who have purchased ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ in the PlayStation Digital Store can apply for a full refund. Players who do not wish to refund can continue to use this game, and future updates will not be affected.

Today, Microsoft Xbox Support officially launched an announcement, stating that in order to ensure that every player can get the experience they expect on Xbox, we will expand the existing refund policy. Players who purchased the digital version of Cyberpunk 2077 from the Microsoft Store will provide a full refund until further notice.

“To ensure that every player can get the experience they expect on Xbox, we will expand the existing refund policy. Players who purchased the digital version of Cyberpunk 2077 from the Microsoft Store will provide a full refund until further notice.

Although we know that the developers of CD PROJEKT RED are working hard to release “Cyberpunk 2077” under extremely challenging circumstances, we also realize that some players are dissatisfied with their current experience on old consoles.

So far, we have issued payments to the vast majority of customers requesting refunds. To request an Xbox refund for Cyberpunk 2077, please follow the steps listed on the Xbox refund page”.

‘Cyberpunk 2077’ has very high demands tools, which also caused the game to not spend too much time to test the compatibility of previous-generation game console platforms such as PS4 and Xbox when testing.
