He said that China Radio and Television was based on 5G low-band terminals last month.
The performance enhancement proposal standard has completed the CPE prototype system capability test verification, and achieved a single UE downlink peak rate of more than 700Mbps, setting a new record for the industry’s Sub-1GHz low-band 5G network rate.
At present, the industry’s first 700MHz four-receiving antenna commercial CPE product has also entered the product commissioning phase in the China Radio and Television 5G Laboratory. It is planned to complete the model approval and network access in the first quarter of 2021.
Before December 2019, the GPP standard can only achieve 22MHz in the 700MHz frequency band, which greatly affects the effect of China Radio and Television’s use of spectrum effects above 2×30MHz.
As a result, China Radio and Television launched the world’s first 5G low-band and large-bandwidth standard formulation work. After technical exchanges with domestic and foreign chip manufacturers and terminal system manufacturers, they found that in the current situation of the industry chain, basically double filtering is used in the 700MHz frequency band.
The design of the device is compatible with low-frequency characteristics while taking into account the use of 700MHz in countries around the world. Based on this analysis, in hardware, it is available to realize 2×30MHz on the terminal side from 703MHz to MHz733. For the first time, it is proposed that the 700MHz base station side realizes 2×30MHz and 2×40MHz bandwidth support, and the terminal side realizes 2×30MHz bandwidth. , And finally realized the success of the project.
On the terminal side, with the strong support of relevant departments, China Radio and Television organized relevant manufacturers to complete the first batch of 700MHz device model approvals to enter the network. As of last month, more than 21 mobile phones have been approved to enter the network, covering mid-and low-end full-priced mobile phones.
There are more than 10 types of terminals, CPEs, and preliminary capabilities for various types of low-band 5G applications, and more than 6 700MHz base station equipment. Among all 5G mobile phones that applied for access to the network in the third quarter, the 700MHz devices supporting the n28 frequency band reached 19.5%. As of December, the number of mobile phone models supporting 700MHz has exceeded 50.
