From the specification side, the biggest difference between Huawei Mate40 and Mate40 Pro and Mate40 Pro+ is that it is furnished with a Kirin 9000E processor.

About the difference between Kirin 9000E and Kirin 9000, we have also described in detail before. The difference can be said to be minimum. Both of them are furnished with a Mali-G78 graphics image processor, but the Kirin 9000 uses the 24-core version, while the Kirin 9000E has 22 cores.

Additionally, the NPU part of Kirin 9000 uses a combination of 2 large cores + 1 micro core, while Kirin 9000E is a combination of 1 large core + 1 micro core.

Generally, the Kirin 9000E is the ‘youth version’ of the Kirin 9000. The CPU, baseband, ISP, etc. have not been adjusted, mainly the GPU and NPU have been changed.

In terms of other specifications, Huawei Mate40 uses a 6.5-inch single-hole OLED screen with a resolution of 2376×1080, supports up to 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz sampling touch rate, built-in 4200mAh battery, and supports 40W fast charging.
