Lenovo seems to be preparing to release the recently launched Lenovo K12 smartphone globally. This smartphone may be called Lenovo K12 Global Edition, but it is essentially the Moto E7 with a changed name.
The main upgrade of Lenovo K12 Global Edition specifications will be in the chipset – Lenovo K12 is equipped with the ancient Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset, while Moto E7 uses the updated MediaTek Helio G25, which supports MediaTek’s HyperEngine technology. However, if the leaked news is true, there will be some frequency reduction.
The appearance of the Lenovo K12 global version will be similar to the Chinese version of the device and the Moto E7. However, unlike the Chinese version, the global version will use the brown/aqua blue tone that appeared on Moto E7.
It should be noted that the global version of the Lenovo K12’s camera module design and other back layouts are also more similar to Motorola Moto E7. Only the fingerprint sensor is missing the Moto logo. On the front, you can see that the bezel around the screen of the Lenovo K12 Global Edition will be wider than that seen on the K12 Chinese version model, more like the border of the Moto E7.
Considering that the Lenovo K12 Global Edition will be based on Moto E7, as mentioned earlier, it should be equipped with the MediaTek G25 chipset. However, there will be some downgrades, including only 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space instead of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space like the Chinese models. Similarly, the battery capacity will be smaller, it is a 4000mAh battery instead of the 5000mAh battery of the K12 China version.
The selfie camera sensor should also be downgraded from an 8-megapixel lens to a 5-megapixel lens. The USB Type-C interface seen on Motorola Moto E7 should also appear on the global version, but 2.5W reverse charging may be missing.
The other aspects should be the same as the Chinese version, including a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels, a dual-camera setup with a 48-megapixel main camera, and a 2-megapixel macro lens, and Android 10.
The operating system, support for microSD card and 10W fast charge, it is still unclear whether Lenovo K12 Global Edition India conference or price.
