AMD succeeded in Zen evolution: AMD Zen3 game performance has increased by 81%

AMD Ryzen series processors debuted in 2016. The top R7 1800X has an 8-core and 16-thread design, but only has an acceleration frequency of 4.1 GHz. Since the first generation of Zen, AMD has introduced three generations of desktop processors and two generations of mobile processors.

According to Golem tested four Ryzen processors, all of which are 8-core 16-thread models, based on X470 and X570 motherboard tests (depending on the supported CPU).

It was found that AMD Ryzen 7 5800X almost reached 180.9% of the game performance of Ryzen 7 1800X, and office performance was also improved by 72.2%. The chart is as follows:

The first-generation Ryzen processor only supports DDR4 2666 MHz memory, while Zen+ supports 2933 MHz, and the next two generations support DDR4 memory up to 3200 MHz. Memory performance may have a significant impact on AMD Ryzen CPU performance, but the test here takes into account the normal use of players and did not deliberately reduce it to the same level.
