IDC’s China PC Monitor Data Tracking Report shows that in the first Q3 of 2020
Due to the impact of the epidemic, people have gradually switched to online telecommuting or taking online courses. This has also led to a significant increase in PC shipments across the country, and by the way, the shipment of PC monitors has also increased. IDC released the China PC monitor data tracking report.
IDC’s China PC Monitor Data Tracking Report shows that in the first three quarters of 2020, PC monitor shipments in the Chinese market were 21.12 million units, down 3.5% year-on-year. Shipments in the third quarter of 2020 were 8.64 million units, a year-on-year increase of 8.0%.
IDC stated that the domestic epidemic was relatively stable in the third quarter, and the market recovered faster. In the traditional peak season, the commercial market increased by 8.7% year-on-year, and the consumer market increased by 6.8% year-on-year. However, the market is still facing shortages, especially small and medium-sized, high-performance products.
In terms of market segments, the market share of 24-inch (including 23.5–24.4-inch) monitors continued to lead in the third quarter. Small size (less than 21.5 inches) has reduced its share compared with the same period when it is obviously out of stock; 21.5-inch displays have maintained their share at 30% due to the strong demand in the commercial market; large-size displays (larger than or equal to 27 inches) Compared with the same period, the share increased significantly. In the case of stable market supply, the gradual upward migration of size demand will be more significant.
