Recently, many Windows 10 devices frequently have blue screen problems. As for the reason, Microsoft has not given any explanation. Now the answer is finally here.
According to the findings of Microsoft’s investigation, Corsair pushed the “CorsairVBusDriver” driver update to users through Windows Update, but due to the incompatibility between the new version and the old version of the driver (version 2.x or earlier), it will be triggered when the old version of the driver is detected Blue screen.
Corsair iCUE’s product manager James confirmed: “This is due to the installation of the very old CorsairVBusDriver (driver version 2.x or older), CUE SW (CUE 2.x or older), and the recent Windows Update release. Driver (driver version is 3.x) caused by conflict”.
- For users who are currently stuck on the blue screen of death with the stop code error “CorsairVBusDriver.sys”, please follow the steps below:
- In the Windows Recovery Environment, select “Troubleshoot”
- Choose “Advanced Options”> “System Restore”. After clicking “System Restore”, Windows will use the recovery partition to try to restore the operating system again, which will not affect personal files but will delete recently installed applications and drivers, etc.
- Create a bootable media drive and manually restore your computer
