ADATA’s gaming brand XPG today officially released a new flagship SSD, the model “XPG GAMMIX S70” (XPG GAMMIX S70), which is also another PCIe 4.0 SSD after the pterosaur S50.

XPG Pterodactyl S50 adopted the high-end master control solution “IG5236” (code-named Rainier) of the innovative company Lutz (Innogrit) for the first time, which was released as early as August last year, as well as the enterprise-level IG5668. ADATA also demonstrated related products based on the IG5236 master control at the beginning of this year, and now it has finally revised the results.

Lutz IG5236 solution is manufactured by TSMC 16/12nm process, supports PCIe 4.0 x4, NVMe 1.4, supports eight flash channels, maximum capacity 16TB, nominal continuous read and write performance up to 7.0GB/s, 6.1GB/s, random read and write The maximum performance is 1 million IOPS and 800,000 IOPS.

ADATA’s XPG Pterosaur S70 is more sturdy, with continuous reading and writing reaching 7.4GB/s, 6.4GB/s, and it is also a top presence in the market today. Compared with the previous generation Pterosaur S50 5.0GB/s, 4.4GB/ The speed of s (based on Phison E16) has made a qualitative leap.

XPG Pterodactyl S70 is a standard M.2 2280 form specification, with three-dimensional full-covering heat dissipation armor, thick and efficient heat dissipation aluminum alloy on the upper and lower sides, and a hollow multi-layer fin structure, by expanding the heat dissipation area and thickening the heat sink.

The way to improve the heat exchange efficiency with the air, the temperature can still be significantly reduced by 30% in the continuous reading and writing state, maintaining the speed and extending the life.

It also supports SLC dynamic cache acceleration technology, onboard independent DRAM cache, LDPC error correction, end-to-end data protection, RAID array engine, and other technologies.

In terms of capacity, 1TB and 2TB can be selected, the mean time between failures is 2 million hours, and a five-year warranty is provided.
