Asustek launched a new generation of Wi-Fi 6 router RT-AX68U, positioning the mid-range. In terms of appearance, the AX68U adopts an upright design, which is intended to save desktop space and supports wall hanging. Three external antennas, interfaces include one Gigabit WAN port, four Gigabit LAN ports, one USB 2.0, and one USB 3.0.

In terms of configuration, dual-core Broadcom 1.8GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 256MB ROM. The performance, 2.4GHz peak speed (3×3) 861Mbps, 5GHz peak speed (3×3) 1802Mbps, and concurrency can reach 2700Mbps.

In terms of advanced functions, it supports Ai Mesh networking, 160MHz bandwidth, 1024-QAM modulation, OFDMA orthogonal frequency division multiple access, AiProtection Pro intelligent network protection guard, parent mode, etc.

The router consumes 33 watts and weighs 630 g. And the price has not yet been announced, but it is said to be under $100, and the details may be announced at CES 2021.
