China Unicom launches OSS 2.0 5G intelligent operation and maintenance system

China Unicom launched the 2019 OSS2.0 5G intelligent operation and maintenance system new iteration project (5G business automatic activation) centralized procurement. The procurement announcement shows that this time, one set of China Unicom’s OSS2.0 5G intelligent operation and maintenance system 5G service will be automatically activated.

The main functions include industrial parameter data management, APP/small program configuration, work order management, execution control, and opening Station execution, work-order monitoring, work order completion, network element management, instruction management, system management, system interface, etc. The procurement budget is 3,480,000 yuan (excluding tax) and 3,688,800 yuan (including tax).

The project is not divided into bid packages, and the maximum bid price limit is 2,958,800 yuan (excluding tax). If the bidder’s bid price is higher than the highest bid limit, its bid will be rejected.

According to China Unicom, 5G intelligent operation and maintenance is based on real-time analysis, which delegates simple and repetitive tasks to the machine, from passive fault management to active fault prediction and prevention, and intelligent scheduling. The ultimate goal of 5G intelligent operation and maintenance is fault self-healing, zero business interruption, zero risks of change, and minute-level activation.

In order to ensure the smooth development of 5G services and improve user perception, China Unicom has set out to deploy a 5G operation and maintenance platform to realize 5G intelligent operation and maintenance.

This bidding and procurement will create a new 5G service automatic activation module, which can support the one-time station work of China Unicom’s 5G network SA sites, and realize the automatic activation of base station services through the platform according to the system work order.
