Toyota Motor will launch a two-seater compact electric car next year

According to a report, Toyota Motor will release a two-seater compact electric car next year. It will first sell about 100 vehicles to corporate legal entities and local governments.

In order to follow the Japanese government’s policy of discontinuing the sale of fuel vehicles in the mid-2030s, they will be sold to ordinary consumers after 2022.

This is because automakers are looking forward to creating different types of electric vehicles to meet various transportation needs.

Without subsidies, the price of this electric car is expected to be around 1.6 million to 1.7 million yen (approximately 101,000 to 107,000 yuan). It can travel about 100 kilometers on one charge.

The model will be furnished with lithium batteries developed and produced by Prime Planet Energy & Solutions, a company jointly funded by Panasonic and Toyota.

This car is designed for easy driving because, in mountains and cities, the turning radius is small. Toyota expects that this car will be suitable for both adults who often drive light vehicles and young people who drive for the first time.

But this seems to be a really fragrant behavior, because for the first few days Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda has just attacked the electric car, said the electric car is excessive speculation, will stifle enterprise, it requires huge investments, and emit more carbon dioxide.
