According to the latest report, sources revealed that Microsoft has begun to develop the next-generation Surface Duo code-named “Zeta” and will be released in 2021. Microsoft has carried out a certain degree of Improve.

Surface Duo is Microsoft’s first Android phone, with two 5.6-inch screens that can be combined into a larger 8.1-inch display. Microsoft uses the PixelSense Fusion display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and fixes it together through a hinge, which is called the “revolutionary 360-degree hinge.”

The machine is equipped with an 11MP ƒ/2.0 lens. Since its release, it has been criticized by netizens for its low camera level, even without a rear camera.

In addition, a Microsoft recruitment list announced today shows that Microsoft is hiring “Android camera system architects and engineers” to be responsible for developing camera hardware and software for next-generation Surface products (such as Surface Duo 2).

Microsoft said that the engineer will work with the camera hardware team to create AI/ML capabilities that will enable “computational photography” to take image processing to a new level.

The “Responsibility” column in the recruitment information shows:

Proficient in Android camera stack.

The realization of artificial intelligence/ML and neural processing capabilities.

More than 10 years of work experience .

The recruitment list did not reveal any design details, so we cannot know whether Microsoft will launch a top-level lens on Surface Duo 2, but in any case, Microsoft does intend to explore new Android photography technology.

In addition, Microsoft is also developing new camera App updates for the first-generation Surface Duo, but it is also impossible to know when these updates will be released.
