The design of the pure metal shell enables the MS12 to quickly dissipate the heat of the internal M.2 SSD through the thermal paste, which can guarantee the operating speed and heat dissipation efficiency under long-term high-load working conditions.
As for the adapter chip, Yinxin chose ASMedia’s ASM2364 bridge solution for the MS12 mobile solid-state hard disk box, which supports up to 20Gbps (ie, USB 3.2 Gen 2×2) data transfer rate.
When the user connects the hard disk enclosure to the host, it can also light up the blue LED status indicator (flashing to indicate working status). In terms of appearance, MS12 is currently only available in black.
In terms of compatibility, MS12 supports three specifications of NVMe M.2 SSD, M.2 2280/2260 / 2242, as well as BOT / UAS protocol and Trim optimization instructions.
It should be noted that this solution does not support PCIe AHCI / M.2 SATA protocol. Finally, Yinxin has not disclosed the exact price and launch date of the MS12 metal mobile solid-state hard disk box.
