PS5, Xbox Series XS, and Switch global sales comparison, PS5 accounts for more than 40%

The latest sales data for the three major game consoles. The report shows that as soon as the Sony PS5 was released, the global sales were far ahead. The global sales ranked first in the past five weeks, reaching 3,733,146 units, accounting for 46.2%; Microsoft Xbox Series X|S sales were about 2 million units, accounting for 24.9%; Nintendo’s Switch has been released for a long time, and the sales data in the last 5 weeks was 2,329,638 units, accounting for 28.9%.

The report also said that although the Switch has been released for a long time, its total sales did not reach the current data of the PS5 until the 15th week, and the PS5 was only released for 5 weeks.

In the United States, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S sales have been higher than that of Nintendo Switch in the past five weeks, and Sony’s PS5 still leads the sales, occupying 43.4% of the market. In addition, in Europe, PS5 sales reached 1.3 million units, while Switch was only 600,000 units, and Xbox Series X|S was only 530,000 units.

Sales in Japan are very different. In the past five weeks, Switch sales have been significantly higher than the other two products, reaching 565,000 units, with a market share of 68.6%; PS5 sales ranked second with 227,000 units; Xbox Series X|S sales only 30,000 units.
