Toyota launched a pure electric minicar C+pod in Japan, which goes on sale starting at 104,000 yuan

Toyota released a pure electric minicar C+pod in Japan. This is an urban short-distance transportation tool.

There are two versions of Grade X and Grade XG, priced at 1.65 million yen and 1.716 million yen (approximately RMB 104,000 and RMB 108,000), and are now available in Japan.

Toyota C+pod is furnished with a 1RM motor with a maximum power of 9.2kW and a maximum torque of 56Nm.

It uses lithium batteries with a battery pack capacity of 9.06kWh and a WLTC cruising range of 150km. A 200V/16A charging pile requires 5 hours to fully charge.

External appliances are given for electrical services. The car’s body ‘measurement’ is 2490×1290×1550mm, the wheelbase is 1780mm, the maximum speed is 60km/h, and it cannot be used on the highway.

It is worth noting that Toyota C+pod is currently only available for sale to specific groups, including Japanese local governments, companies, and other organizations that require daily short-distance travel and regular patrols.

After completing the construction of the popularization system such as the new business model of pure electric vehicles, Toyota C+pod will start to be sold to private consumers in 2022.

It is reported that Toyota C+pod was originally planned to appear and serve during the Tokyo Olympics this summer.
