Akasa launches Turing A50 FX Case, designed for the ASUS PN50 mini PC
ASUS PN50 is a compact NUC host, but for users who are looking for a silent experience, the Turing A50 passive cooling chassis with a fanless design may be a better choice. FanlessTech pointed out that although the same design style as Turing FX is used, the Turing A50 is specially customized by Akasa for ASUS PN50 NUC users.
As a derivative model of the Turing FX case, Turing A50 is specially designed for the ASUS PN50 mini host. With a large aluminum body, Turing A50 can provide ASUS PN50 with a very good silent cooling experience.
The inside of the box uses a heat pipe to contact the aluminum body, and the size, when placed vertically, is 113.5×95×247.9 mm (horizontal placement is also supported). As for the ASUS PN50, it uses the AMD Ryzen 4000 series processor + Vega 7 core display solution.
ASUS provides PN50 with options from Ryzen R5-4500U to R7-4800U mobile processors. The former is a 6-core/6-thread design with a base frequency of 2.3GHz, and the latter is an 8-core/16-thread design with a base frequency of 1.8GHz.
Akasa provides a mounting bracket for the PN50 motherboard for the Turing A50 chassis and provides a front USB 3.2 Type-C, another USB 3.2 Type-A, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The backplane interface is still quite rich, covering three video outputs, DC power input, and more USB expansion ports. Finally, Fanless Tech announced that the Turing A50 chassis will be available in February 2021.
