Darren Palmer, the head of Ford’s electric vehicle business, recently mocked Tesla without the name in an interview with a car blog, saying that Ford’s new Mustang Mach-E electric vehicle does not have such or other quality problems.
In the interview, Palmer boasted that Ford has a century of production experience, saying that the new Mustang “doors are tightly stitched, the plastic and other materials are matched in color, the bumper will not fall off, the sunroof will not fall when you wash the car, and the door handle will not stay Stuck in the cold weather.” He is alluding to Tesla’s quality problems that have been exposed in the past few years.
Most recently, last month, Tesla announced a recall of nearly 10,000 Model Y vehicles due to roof decoration defects.
