Smartphone Users in India are still preferring to buy Chinese phones, even when the people in the country are giving priority to the made in India products. According to the latest data released shows that the sales of Chinese mobile phones in India in October this year increased by 1.7 million units over the same period last year.
The report cited news from the Indian “print” website that the market analysis company International Data Corporation (IDC), based on the online and offline sales records of Indian mobile phones, found that the Indian smartphone market increased by 42% in October this year compared to the same period last year, with total shipments.
The volume reached 21 million units. IDC said that this benefit is from the multiple online shopping festivals in the third quarter of this year and cumulative demand.
According to reports, four of the top five mobile phone brands in India with the largest online sales are Chinese brands, namely Xiaomi, Vivo, Realme, and OPPO, ranking first, third, fourth, and fifth respectively. Samsung ranked second in sales in the Indian market.
These four companies sold approximately 4.6 million mobile phones in October last year. The sales volume in October this year was 6.3 million units.
