Honor has started releasing a new update for the Honor 30 Pro devices (Via – Huawei Central). The update brings some new features, bug fixes, and November 2020 security patch for improved system security.
Honor 30 Pro and Pro+ users can identify this latest update with the Magic UI 4 version 4..0.0.165 which is updated from version 4.0.0.145. You can check the detailed changelog of the update below.
In terms of features, the new firmware adds a flash file transfer system feature which provides 305Mbps high speed at a long distance up to 400GB large file transfer. It also brings dynamic screen effects, Starry Night themes, and fixes app issues.
There are two different methods for downloading updates on your smartphone:
Download via Settings:
- Go to settings,
- Click on System & updates,
- Then open software updates
- Tap on the check for updates option
- Then download and install the update, if available
- After installation, reboot the device
Download via Support app:
- Open support app on your device
- Go to the service tab
- Click on the update button
- then tap on Check for update option
- Click on download if the update is available
- After the download, reboot the device for installation

- File Transfer: New large file flash transfer function allows the user to transfer large files, HD video, and images without any fear of size, distance, and image quality are not compressed.

- Theme: Added “Starry Night” artistic theme, bright color painting, and smooth and continuous motion effects.
- App: Fix the problem that the WeChat app cannot be selected when sharing.
- Security: Integrates the November 2020 security patch to enhance the security of the mobile phone system.
