After the Xiaomi Mi 10 update MIUI 12.5, some users have reported that the vibration of the linear motor has become weaker than that of the Mi 10 Pro, but the hardware is the same in theory.
In response, Xiaomi’s user operations manager responded on Weibo that Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro do have the same type of vibration motor, but the firmware is different.
He also said that the unsatisfactory vibration feedback from Mi Fan has been received and joint tuning and optimization have begun. The engineers will speed up the progress and hope to improve the performance of the motor through a firmware update as soon as next month.
In addition, IT Home has learned that Xiaomi’s product director and MIUI experience chief @MIUI Xiaofan also said in response to user comments on Weibo that after research, the firmware of Xiaomi Mi 10 is outdated, resulting in unsatisfactory performance parameters.
The internal optimization has already begun with multiple parties, and it is expected that the motor performance will be improved through a firmware upgrade next month.
