Google has posted regulations on the Chromium project to fix a harmful issue that has plagued users of Windows 10 and Google Chrome, as well as other Chromium-based browsers.
The fix will be part of the next updates to Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and other Chromium browsers.
Recall that Windows 10 users are faced with the fact that Microsoft’s antivirus is causing real chaos with browser bookmarks, and not only with them. Google developer Bruce Dawson previously explained that certain features of the Chrome browser are not capable of working properly when Windows 10’s antivirus solution is configured to scan the drive:
“Antivirus programs and other scanners can momentarily block new files, which can lead to frequent problems saving bookmarks and other files that use ImportantFileWriter”.
Browsers will now repeat the ReplaceFile step several times, which should fix the problem. On other operating systems, a similar problem with the Chrome and Chromium browsers is not observed.
