Xiaomi earlier applied for design patents for some folding screen phones and new surround screen phones and announced yesterday. Among them, the surround screen models have improved on the basis of Mix Alpha. The difference with this device is that this design is not enclosing on one side of the edge but on the top and bottom of the edge, which means that Xiaomi is considering using a vertical/longitudinal surround method.
This patent contains two designs. The difference seems to lie in the camera, which looks slimmer than Mix Alpha. In addition, the entire device of the device is composed entirely of screens, just as Meizu Zero proved that “the phone does not need a power button and interface.”

It is worth mentioning that Xiaomi also applied for a 360˚ surround display model last year, using a pop-up camera, which is equivalent to the left and right surround version of the above design.
Of course, this is just a patent, and it is still unknown whether Xiaomi will launch a similar model. Xiaomi released the Mix Alpha surround screen phone in September 2019, but it has never been publicly sold.
