According to a report from Windows Latest reported that was previously reported that Microsoft is secretly developing Windows 10 Cloud PC, a new service that will allow users to access desktop applications from any device within minutes.

Windows 10 Cloud PC is expected to be released sometime between March and June 2021, and new and exciting details surrounding the service have now been leaked online.’

Cloud PC is a new service based on Azure, built on the “Windows virtual desktop”, it aims to redefine the “modern workplace” and completely change the computing environment.

What is Cloud PC?

With Cloud PC, you can have your own personal desktop in the cloud, just like your OneDrive and Google Drive files, which can be accessed from anywhere. Cloud PC will be hosted on Microsoft Azure server, and users can access it using Microsoft Remote Desktop apps for Windows, Android, and iOS.

Currently, you can use the remote desktop application to mirror the desktop screen to your phone or device. Cloud PC computers will take things to a new level, providing a virtualized version of Windows 10 in the cloud. This will allow you to stream desktop applications over the Internet to improve performance.

There are at least three different configurations of Cloud PC computers-intermediate (general computing), heavy (better performance), and advanced (commercial customers).

According to a new supporting document, Cloud PC will also use Microsoft Graph technology, a tool for real-time collaboration, Azure integration, and other features. Microsoft Graph v1.0 has been updated to include a new API for Cloud PC, which indicates that this new service may be launched in the near future.

Microsoft pointed out in the document: “The Cloud PC API is in the preview stage and is currently only open to specific customer groups.”

There are also rumors that Cloud PC will allow users to stream Win32 applications via the Internet to their Windows 10X-equipped PCs. This theory is very reasonable because Windows 10X will be a lightweight and network-based operating system, and support applications through the Windows Store.

Windows 10X support for Win32 applications will arrive in 2022 when Microsoft will announce an improved version of Surface Neo and Windows 10X.
