Amazon Zoox unveils new Robotaxi for future self-driving service
According to recent reports, Amazon’s self-driving car startup Zoox has announced a model of a robot taxi that is expected to run 16 hours a day in the city in the future. However, Zoox did not announce the specific test time and launch plan.
Unlike ordinary self-driving cars, the steering wheel and brake pedal are eliminated in Zoox. The four seats face each other in pairs, and the doors can slide open.
Zoox said that this car is not going to be sold in the future, but is connected to the operation of the ride-hailing service to supplement urban public transportation.
