A few days ago, a set of test spy photos of Geely’s new SUV were circulating on the Internet. It is reported that the new car is based on the CMA super matrix-like Xingrui, and is furnished with a Volvo 2.0T engine.
The internal code is KX11 or the new flagship SUV of the Geely brand. Today, Yang Xueliang, vice president of Geely Group, said on Weibo that the new SUV codenamed KX11 will be officially unveiled at this year’s Shanghai Auto Show.
According to the test spy photos, the front face of the new car adopts a thicker design and is furnished with a straight waterfall front grille and a trapezoidal air inlet below the bottom. Compared with the new Boyue and Haoyue, it looks obviously tough a lot.
It is reported that the body length of the latest car maybe 4810mm, and the wheelbase is about 2805mm that is equivalent to models such as Highlander, which means that the car is likely to provide a third-row seat or 7-seat layout.
At the same time, the more square body shape ensures rear space and practicality. As another model of the CMA supermatrix, the KX11 will be built on the CMA platform jointly developed by Geely and Volvo.
It is likely to be powered by the Volvo Drive-E series 2.0TD engine, with a maximum power of 190 horsepower and a peak torque of 300 N·m. 7DCT gearbox. Additionally, the car may also launch models equipped with a 1.5T engine.
