According to a report, today, the relevant person in charge of BYD clearly denied the existence of ‘Xia’ and revealed that BYD’s next model will be named ‘Ming’, ‘but there is no clear schedule.’
According to data, BYD was founded in 1995 and mainly manufactures business cars, family cars, and batteries. In 2003, it grew into the world’s second-largest manufacturer of rechargeable batteries. In the same year, BYD Auto was formed.
Since launching the world’s first mass-produced plug-in hybrid model in 2008, BYD has successively launched a number of new energy models such as e6, Qin, Tang, and Song.
BYD announced the latest sales report yesterday. In December 2020, the sales of new energy vehicles were 28841 units, compared with 13,099 units in the same period in 2019. The cumulative sales for the year were 189,700 units, a year-on-year decrease of 17.35%.
