Although many years have passed, the Pontiac Firebird with its sensual scanning light is still indelible.

As per the report, the protagonist KITT prototype in ‘Knight Rider’ is the third-generation Pontiac Firebird. However, as Pontiac went bankrupt in 2010, the KITT on the market rose, easily breaking through the $100,000 mark.

According to the report, a KITT is being auctioned recently. It is worth mentioning that the car is the personal collection of David Hasselhoff, the protagonist of “Rider Rider”, and the price was as high as US$975,000 (about 6.31 million yuan).

However, for some reason, some invalid bids were deleted, and it is now US$475,000 (about 3.07 million yuan). Nevertheless, it far exceeded the estimated 300,000 US dollars.

The car is furnished with a 5.7L V8 engine, matching automatic transmission, and the most popular vaulting light in the 90s. The whole car uses certain aerodynamic principles and lightweight materials to reduce wind resistance.

Hasselhoff said that if the final transaction price exceeds 25% of the reserve price, he will personally hand over the car to the buyer, which means that buying KITT will also receive a signed photo of the Knight Rider.
