Samsung declared a full line of MicroLED TVs at CES 2021, including 110-inch, 99-inch, and 88-inch TVs. Samsung stated that their MicroLED panels have a life span of more than 10 years and will not suffer from ‘burn-in’ problems like OLED.
Samsung’s new MicroLED TV provides 4K picture quality and supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Additionally, Samsung also introduced a new production process from its semiconductor business and developed a new surface mount technology.
The installation difficulty of the new product will be greatly reduced, and users can even install the TV on the wall or cabinet by themselves. At the system level, this batch of new machines will also support Samsung’s multi-window mode.
Users can divide the 110-inch screen into four 55-inch screens. Samsung said that in the future, it will also consider adding functions to display different apps in different windows.
The 110-inch version that has been disclosed in South Korea is priced at about 1 million yuan, and the prices of the other two have not yet been announced.
