Microsoft solved problem of automatic restart failure of Windows 10

Posted on

Microsoft launched the official version of the 20H2 system update in October 2020, bringing new features: the start menu is more beautiful, and the Edge browser supports Alt+TAB web page switching.

However, there are still some bugs after the release of this version. According to the news, Microsoft declared today that it has resolved one of the important faults.

Microsoft’s explanation of the failure:

When the user interacts through any account window, he may receive an error message from the LSASS.exe program, stating that “your computer will automatically restart within one minute.” This failure will occur when the user accesses the MMC management unit to set the user account Appears, when users try to rename the built-in accounts such as Administrator and Guest, they occasionally encounter this error. The user may also encounter this failure when accessing the application log ID 1015.

This failure is due to the use of the same security identifier (SID) and relative identifier (RID) to create a built-in user account. These two IDs must be unique values in the system.

In order to avoid this failure, Microsoft had earlier suspended the distribution of system updates. currently, the error has been marked as resolved, and the security protection of the system update has been lifted.

This fix will be released through Windows Server Update Services and system updates. The latest version of the system installation iso file will also contain this feature fix.
