Samsung should officially unveil its flagship series of smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S21, on January 14, much earlier than the South Korean manufacturer has done for the past few years.
Experts believe that Samsung decided to do this because of weak sales of the Samsung Galaxy S20, as well as to quickly introduce a competitor for the iPhone 12. However, the forecast of an industry expert indicates that the iPhone 12 will still be much more successful than the Samsung Galaxy S21.
Ross Young, founder of research firms Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch, who has 25 years of experience in the display industry, talks about the benchmark for the first three months. He is confident that during this period, sales of the iPhone 12 will be much higher than the Samsung Galaxy S21.
Moreover, Ross Young believes that even the iPhone 12 mini, which has become the least popular smartphone in the new line, will outstrip the standard version of the Samsung Galaxy S21. As a reminder, the iPhone 12 mini sales accounted for only 6% of the total iPhone sales in October and November.
