Adobe Flash Player download page redirects to end of life announcement. Adobe has taken the final step towards the final demise of Flash Player.

Flash Player support was discontinued on December 31, 2020, as Adobe had warned three years ago. Shortly before the New Year, Windows 10 users began to receive warnings recommending to remove Flash Player from the system.

Now, full blocking begins – from January 12, 2021, Adobe itself is already starting to block Flash content from playing in Flash Player, so that users will not be able to access it. Also, the download page for Adobe Flash Player is redirected to the “end of life” announcement.

Back in 2015, Adobe asked developers to switch to HTML5 tools instead of Flash, and in 2017 officially announced plans to shut down the technology.

Flash’s rich cultural heritage will not be completely lost – it will be preserved for future generations. The project was taken over by the non-profit organization Internet Archive. As a result, popular Flash games and animations can be found on the Internet Archive.
