According to a report, Intel launched a new 10nm Pentium Silver processor and Celeron processor at CES 2021, mainly for the education market. This is also the first time that Intel has adopted a 10nm process in cheap mobile chips.
Intel stated that the new generation of Pentium Silver and Celeron processors have made great progress, with application performance improved by 35% and graphics performance by 78%.
The new generation of Teng Silver and Celeron processors will be prioritized for Chromebooks. Officially, they can improve performance by 144% compared to AMD’s A6-9220C, web page speed can be increased by 162%, and Lightroom performance can be increased by 86%.
AMD’s A6-9220C processor was released in early 2019, using a dual-core dual-threaded 28nm process, with a default frequency of 1.8 GHz and an acceleration frequency of 2.7 GHz. Intel’s previous-generation Pentium Silver processor uses a four-core four-thread 14nm process with a maximum acceleration frequency of 2.8GHz.
