Sony tests prototype Vision-S on public roads in Europe

Posted on

A year ago, Sony announced its first electric vehicle, the Vision-S, at CES 2020. Now, the company has released a video showing testing of the Vision-S prototype on public roads in Europe.

Back in July, Sony announced plans to test electric vehicles on public roads in late 2020. At a presentation at CES 2021, the company shared the results.

Vision-S tests took place in Austria in December. Interestingly, the filming was carried out using a new item presented at CES 2021 – the Airpeak drone.

As a reminder, Vision-S is equipped with two 270 hp electric motors – one mounted on the front axle, the other on the rear. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 4.8 seconds, top speed is 240 km / h.
