Western Digital doubled maximum storage capacity of some of its mobile SSD hard drives to 4TB

According to the news, Western Digital doubled the maximum storage capacity of several of its mobile SSD hard drives to 4TB. Previously, Western Digital’s phone SSD product line had a maximum capacity of 2TB.

The models increased to 4TB include Western Digital’s My Passport and WD_Black, and the subsidiary SanDisk’s Extreme series. This series of products have a five-year warranty.

In terms of price, the retail price of the 4TB configuration of Western Digital’s Black P50 gaming mobile SSD is US$750, with a read and write transfer speed of up to 2000MB/s.

The price of SanDisk Extreme’s 4TB configuration is $700, and the transfer speed is up to 1050MB/s. The 4TB Extreme Pro is priced at $900, and the transfer speed can reach 2000MB/s.
