Recently, Google opens a theme that clear 2020 is a difficult year, and people may need a lot of inner strength to help themselves through this challenging year.
During this period of time, being a parent of a child is especially difficult, but the children seem to get better after overcoming the challenges of last year. For this reason, Google’s annual Doodle competition chose “I am strong because…” as the theme.
It is reported that students from kindergarten to grade 12 are invited to use any material or medium to create graffiti works. In addition, they were asked to write down how they created this graffiti and how it represented its inner strength.
Jane Woodall, brand manager of Google Brand Studio, wrote in a blog: “We ask students to creatively share how they keep moving forward in difficult times. What can help you dispel the clouds when you make a mistake or feel scared? When How do you use your inner strength to cheer up people around you when they are down?”
The winning entries will be displayed on Google’s homepage for one day. For any creator, this is an eye-catching position, because this graffiti will get hundreds of millions of views just because it occupies the most important position.
In addition to gaining exposure, the winner will also receive a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 school technology award. The competition will last until February 26 and it is open to all K-12 students from the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
This year’s guest judges include “Dog Man” and “Underpants Superman” best-selling author and illustrator Dav Pilkey, Grammy award-winning producer and artist Peter Cotton Tale, and the 2020 National Teacher of the Year Tabatha Rosproy.
