Model 3 and Model Y, Tesla’s third Chinese produced model may arrive. Recently, leaked a set of renderings of Tesla’s new electric car. Based on previous news, this car may be the third Tesla Chinese model, positioned lower than Model 3, and is supposed to begin at 160,000 yuan ($24,747.12 US).
The new electric car in the rendering uses a crossover design, but it still looks more like a compact SUV and incorporates the body elements of Model 3 and Model Y.
Earlier news said that Tesla plans to produce a third new model in China. The new car has been approved as early as September 2020, and it is expected to complete product verification in March this year.
At the same time, Tesla CEO Musk has also said many times in previous interviews that in the future, a popular electric vehicle with a cost of about 160,000 yuan will be released to further open the new energy market.
Tesla is currently looking for a design director and will establish a fully functional design center in Beijing or Shanghai. The purpose is to design a more localized pure electric vehicle for consumers in the Chinese market.
Additionally, to looking for design directors, Tesla has recently launched another round of large-scale recruitment in the Chinese market, which includes positions such as chief designer and chief creative officer.
Additionally, Tesla is also recruiting talents in the fields of engineering, R&D operations, and human resources.
And all this seems to be preparing for this new car. As for whether the appearance of the car will be designed locally, it is still unknown, but it is still worth looking forward to.
