Volkswagen ID Buzz retro electric bus plan postponed until 2023

As per the news, on January 14, the production plan of the Volkswagen ID Buzz pure electric minibus is delayed to 2023. This minibus project made its debut in 2017 and previously promised to be on sale in 2022.

According to Volkswagen’s American CEO Scott Keogh at CES. He stated that due to production priorities, the production plan of Volkswagen ID Buzz’s factory in Hanover, Germany was shelved for a year, and the Volkswagen factory hopes to give priority to the country And European customers produce cars.

The appearance of the Volkswagen ID Buzz pure electric car inherits the classic bus T1 from the 1960s to the 1970s. The two cars have a similar front face design, but the appearance and interior of the new car are more modern.

Along with that, the optical rearview mirror is eliminated and the camera gives similar functions. Additionally, to ID Buzz, Volkswagen also demonstrated ID 3, ID 4 pure electric vehicles in Europe, and mass production of these two cars have already started.

The Volkswagen ID Buzz is furnished with front and rear dual electric motors, with a total power of 275kW and approximately 396 horsepower. Although this car looks cumbersome, it can accelerate from 100 kilometers to 5 seconds.

The car’s battery pack has a capacity of 111kWh and a battery life of up to 373 miles. The fast-charging system can charge 80% in 30 minutes.
