The US space exploration technology company SpaceX was originally scheduled to release the first Starlink satellite on January 15, but the mission was delayed.
The company announced today that it will release a Falcon 9 rocket at the Kennedy Space Center in the United States at 21:23 on January 19, Beijing time.
The first-stage Falcon 9 rocket, which undertook this launch mission, has performed 7 missions before, all of which were successful. The fairing used in this mission has also performed other missions before and is also a ‘second-hand’ item.
This is SpaceX’s seventh Starlink release mission, and 60 satellites will be launched this time. The Falcon 9 first-level rocket undertaking this launch mission will also undergo recovery operations and will land on an unmanned ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
