GAC Ion LX will be equipped with silicon negative battery technology

Yesterday, in addition to the graphene-based super fast-charge battery, another long-life model will be furnished with silicon negative battery technology.

The first model furnished with this battery technology will be Ian LX, which can achieve 1,000 kilometers of battery life. Put into production.

Additionally, it is reported that GAC is also constructing its own overcharging station. In response to the question raised by Academician Ouyang Minggao, the GAC Group also responded as soon as possible: ‘The 1,000-km endurance car will definitely be launched this year.’ He then added that ‘fast charge’ and “long battery life’ are two types of batteries, not both on one battery.

At the same time, GAC officials also emphasized that the current graphene-based super fast rechargeable battery and long-life silicon negative electrode battery have been tested in actual vehicles as planned. The two technologies will be installed in the Ian V and Ian LX models this year. on.

The popularity of long-life silicon anode batteries is affected by the total cost of the battery and consumer acceptance, and the market demand is uncertain.

Currently, GAC claims that it is advancing the research and improvement of a silicon anode battery with independent intellectual property rights as planned, and it can achieve a maximum NEDC 1000km capacity.

Additionally, GAC Aeon is also building its own high-power supercharging pile with a power of 600kW, which is more than twice the current Tesla V3 supercharging pile.

GAC Aeon’s graphene-based super fast charge battery needs to have 6C fast charge capability, combined with a 600A high-power overcharge device, which can charge 80% in 8 minutes at the fastest.
