Redmi officially confirmed that the upcoming Redmi K40 series will be announced in February. The company also revealed some features and prices of the lineup. At the same time, new news claims that the series will have a model that will be powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC.
The Redmi K40 series will be equipped with a Snapdragon 865 processor and a 1080p centered ultra-small hole straight screen version. According to the official preheating, the high-end version of Redmi K40 is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 888 flagship processor.
Xiaomi Group Vice President Lu Weibing announced on Weibo on January 11 that the Redmi K40 series will be released next month with a starting price of 2,999 yuan.
It may use the “most expensive direct screen” with a battery capacity of more than 4000mAh. The screen will use the same Samsung E4 luminescent material as Xiaomi 11.
According to previously leaked news, the new Redmi K40 series will use a center-punched straight screen display, support a 120Hz refresh rate, support dual speakers, and most likely use a 100 million pixel lens.
