Kia Motors officially changed its name to ‘Kia Corporation’, and announced a new brand logo

According to news, after Kia Motors launched the latest brand goal and strategy, Kia Motors officially altered its name to Kia Corporation to emphasize its determination to enter the era of electric vehicles and new mobility.

It is worth noting that this is the company’s name change again after 31 years after its name was changed from ‘Kia Industries’ to ‘Kia Motors’ in 1990. All this indicates that the company will develop towards a new goal, that is, by 2026, it will become a global leader in the field of electric vehicles, with annual sales of 500,000 vehicles.

Kia declared a new brand logo. The new logo is still the abbreviation of ‘KIA’, but the overall shape is more concise and modern. Along with this, the oval outer ring was removed, which is the biggest change since 1994.

Additionally, to the new logo, Kia also launched a new brand slogan ‘Movement that inspires’. That is to give users inspiration through products, services, and brand experience.

In the future, Kia hopes to build 11 electric vehicles by 2025 and 7 pure electric vehicle products by 2027. Additionally, Kia hopes to make electric vehicle sales account for 20% of its global sales by 2025, and a 6.6% share of the global pure electric vehicle market, and its electric vehicle sales to account for 25% of its global sales by 2029.

Kia’s first electric car that is being developed will be delivered in the first quarter of this year. The car will be based on the new electric modular platform E-GMP shared including Hyundai.

According to the Kia, this is a model inspired by the crossover model, code-named CV, with a cruising range of more than 310 miles and a high-speed charging time of fewer than 20 minutes.
