Lately, the next-generation model of Xiaopeng Automobile was leaked, officially named P5 that is the third mass-produced model after the company’s G3 and P7.

According to previous live images, the P5 body is slightly shorter than the P7, and the body is close to Corolla. As for whether the two cars P7 and P5 share the chassis, it is currently difficult to see from the picture.

The P7’s ultra-long battery life benefits from the 81kWh chassis battery configuration. If the P5’s wheelbase is shorter than the earlier, its endurance may also be slightly reduced to avoid conflicts with the P7’s flagship positioning.

In terms of hardware, at the end of 2020, Xiaopeng Motors officially declared that it has formally reached cooperation with Livox that is incubated by DJI, and will use its customized version of Xiaopeng’s car-level lidar on the new mass-produced models launched in 2021.

In the picture, Xiaopeng kept the test car strictly confidential. It can be seen that the P5 headlights and P7 adopt the same design language, and the rear taillights have a circular camouflage design that is very different from the straight-through type in the publicity picture. difference.

As per the report, the P5 will be launched in the first half of 2021, and the mass production time will be in September this year.
