TSMC will launch a 5nm enhanced version, 4nm mass production, and 3nm risk trial production in 2021

In the 1x nanometer and 7-nanometer eras, Samsung is somewhat losing ground compared to TSMC. However, with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888, X60 baseband, RTX 30 series graphics cards, etc., one after another, the Korean giants have blossomed since last year.

Samsung intends to invest US$116 billion in the next ten years to replace TSMC and become the world’s first foundry leader.

As per the report, NVIDIA and Qualcomm will use TSMC’s next-generation process, which is 5nm+. Together with including Intel, AMD, Apple, etc., will contribute to TSMC’s revenue growth in the next two years.

According to the plan, TSMC will launch a 5nm magnified version, 4nm mass production, and 3nm risk trial production this year.

The Turing core of the RTX 20 series and the 7nm of Qualcomm’s two consecutive generations are all found by TSMC, and the reputation is good.

The current revelations show that the replacement of Snapdragon 888 may be Snapdragon 895, and Ampere’s next generation is Ada Lovelace (Byron’s only legal daughter).

NVIDIA does not update the graphics card so fast, and the craftsmanship does not pursue the current latest, we will wait and see.
