Huawei Mate50 Pro equipped with an LTPO screen has been upgraded to make it easier to use
Huawei Mate50 Pro was revealed to be furnished with an LTPO screen to achieve an adaptive dynamic refresh rate and reduce power consumption due to screen display.
Ross Young, the founder and chief analyst of DisplaySearch and DSCC, broke the news that Huawei Mate50 Pro will be furnished with an LTPO screen.
This screen permits the mobile phone to automatically adjust the refresh rate according to the screen content without the help of external blessings, thereby decreasing power consumption, and effectively avoiding the negative impact caused by poor refresh rate optimization.
It is worth noting that the currently released Samsung S21 Ultra is furnished with an LTPO screen, which achieves a high-range adaptive refresh rate of 11Hz-120Hz. However, because the current LTPO process is complex and technically difficult, the cost will also increase.
Given that the Huawei Mate50 series is supposed to be launched in the second half of this year, perhaps with the scale of production and technological progress, the cost may be lower than the current one.
Additionally, the reason why the Huawei Mate40 series adopts a 90Hz refresh rate is largely due to battery life considerations, so it has not been upgraded to a higher 120Hz refresh rate.
If Huawei Mate50 Pro will eventually be furnished with an LTPO screen to achieve lower power consumption, it is likely to be furnished with a higher refresh rate and have a smoother operating experience.
